Nelson Bros was founded in 1858 in Linton, outside Ballarat. The Nelson family has a long connection with the Ballarat area.In the 1970s, Nelson Bros purchased H. Evans & Sons in Main Road, Ballarat. Recently in 2004, the Main Road buildings were sold. Nelson Bros continues to perform funerals in the Ballarat area. If you have a pre-paid funeral with us, we continue to honour it and to perform all contracted services. Although we no longer have a physical funeral home with a chapel in Ballarat, our expert staff attend to your needs as before. Services are held in churches, community venues, cemeteries and crematoria, or in another venue that best suits your needs. We care for families in Ballarat as we do for families across Victoria.
