Caulfield Hospital ANZAC Commemoration
April 22, 2010

Nelson Bros is  the  proud supporter of Caulfield Hospital' s annual ANZAC Commemoration Service.

Caulfield Hospital  has a long tradition of community service dating back to 1916 when the hospital was first established as an Army Hospital, providing vital healthcare services to returned servicemen and women from the First World War. Nearly 18,000 servicemen and women were treated at the hospital during WWI.

Through the years, CGMC has continued to maintain this strong link with the veteran community. Its annual ANZAC Commemoration featured Adrian Nelson of Nelson Bros, the mayor of the City of Glen Eira, Steven Tang, the Caulfield RSL President Bob Larkin, and Women' s Auxiliary President Gail Elder, and bugler Howard Cornish. This multi-faith service this year was addressed by Reverend Craig Wright, Murrumbeena Baptist Minister, and attended by patients, hospital staff, and members of the community. Memorial wreaths were later laid at the hospital' s Veterans Memorial stone.

Today, Caulfield Hospital provides a range of speciality services to the  Alfred Health community in the areas of Community Services, Rehabilitation, Aged Care, Residential Care and Aged Psychiatry. These services are provided in hospital, in the community and at home. The Hospital has a statewide role in the provision of rehabilitation services.

Nelson Bros is delighted to be an active supporter of the hospital and its ANZAC tradition.
